Description
Exceptionally sturdy thanks to its all-metal construction, yet remarkably lightweight at just 64g – including the assembly screw. It’s the first of its kind in the world. Additional novel features include:
3 Unique Concepts:
- Palm Hold + Thumb Lock.
A grip for palm with integrated thumb rest. Finger are naturally dexterous and can conform to variety of shapes. By providing support for palm, it allowed us to reduce bulk in the front grip section. This helped to make the hand grip compact, light weight without taking away from comfort. - Pinky Arc.
A place for pinky to rest on or slide under camera, comfortably. As of now, all grips have a relatively sharp edge but not any more. - Inlaid Quick Change.
A 38mm dovetail compatible feature for quick change in tripod mounting application. It is designed to be recessed inside the walls of the baseplate. This eliminates any edges that may interfere with hand during hand held use. Moreover, it looks cleaner and very streamlined.
Other notable designs features are:
- Cradle Fit.
Baseplate is designed in a way that it hugs the camera from bottom and sides. The camera sits “in” the baseplate rather than on it. This way of mounting provides a secure assembly, more protection from elements and makes the handgrip look like its integral part of the camera not something that is added on. - All metal design.
Everything is machine from aerospace grade Aluminium.
All the features are meticulously designed to provide maximum comfort with no compromise to camera’s other functionalities.

Great Grips for the X100VI
I bought this grip two weeks ago, and it’s been a real pleasure to use. Big thanks to the designer—clearly, the ergonomics have been thoughtfully considered. The grip makes holding the camera significantly more comfortable compared to using it without one.
What’s also impressive is that you can actually reach out to the designer with your feedback and suggestions. I really appreciate this level of engagement, and I believe it will lead to the continuous evolution of the grip—striving toward the perfect balance of feel, aesthetics, and handling.

Unique great grip for the X100Vi
I’ve tested several grips for the X100VI, but none have integrated as seamlessly with the camera as the AwesomeGrip. Most other grips improve the front grip but leave the rear grip lacking, requiring a separate thumb grip that takes up the hot shoe and feels awkward.

A truly thoughtful and high quality addition to the X100VI
Makes every other grip on the market look and feel like cheap slop. The grip is extremely high quality and thoughtfully made from top to bottom. The machining, fit, and finish are absolutely stunning. The many small details are noticed and admired, like the subtle curve of the back edge under the screen that slopes and expands gently into the thumb grip mounting area. There is even a tiny chamfer under the display that perfectly mimics the camera’s bottom plate molding, making that part of the cradle fit seamless. Absolutely phenomenal. Many thanks to them for the additional effort in getting me the grip quickly (and with extra customization to add a strap anchor eyelet)!
